We are currently looking for an experienced (Senior) Software Engineer to reinforce our Mechanical CAD development team.
Some of your key tasks will be
- Participation in the collective development of a desktop cross-platform (Windows/Linux/macOS) 3D design system (CAD/MCAD/BIM)
- Implementation of efficient algorithms for processing substantial amounts of data, creation, and testing of new code
- Maintenance of existing code
Your profile
- Bachelor, Master or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or other (applied) sciences (or equivalent through experience)
- Ability to design as well as develop complex software
- Excellent verbal/written communication in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
- Eager to dive into modern technologies and tools that may contribute to the further development of our BricsCAD solution as a whole
- Be completely at home with source control systems. At Bricsys we use Github and have some repositories still on SVN
- Collaborate with Product Managers, tech leads, developers, and other R&D architects
Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:
- C++14/17, cmake
- Agile methodology
- Python
- Experience in industrial programming as part of a development team, knowledge of the processes of collective software development, knowledge of development tools, and other tools (Microsoft Visual Studio)
- Experience in developing commercial software that processes substantial amounts of data in real time (CAD, GIS, DBMS)
- Experience in developing parallel algorithms and multi-threaded applications
- Experience in developing user interfaces (Qt, wxWidgets)
